Amber Brown Is Not a Crayon

Apparently, it's not easy being a third grader whose parents are divorced. Apparently, most adults don't understand this.

Amber Brown is the main character in a series of 9 books that all feature her name. Amber Brown Is Not a Crayon is the catchy title of the first one.

Amber, as I mentioned, is a third grader who has a rough year, but she thinks things will get better in the future. She learns several important facts as we progress through the series.

Allie Finkle's Rules for Girls

The stories in this series are told by Allie Finkle, a nine-year-old girl. Allie has two brothers, Mark and Kevin. Her dad is a college professor, and her mother is a student adviser.

There are 6 books in the series created by Meg Cabot. I could only make in through the first two of them before my patience ran out. I'll tell you a little more about that later.

43 Old Cemetery Road

I love a good pun. Puns are good if they're clever. Puns are good if you groan after reading or hearing one.

In the children's book series, 43 Old Cemetery Road, Kate Klise created tons of better than average puns. Some are really quite the groaners.

43 Old Cemetery Road is strictly the title of the whole series of 7 books. Each individual book carries its own title as well. You'll see each of these titles in the synopses below.
